Private Events & Celebrations

Weddings, birthdays and corporate charters afloat · 4–8 hours · Departing from Marina Vallarta or Nuevo Vallarta

About this experience

A yacht solves the two hardest problems with an event in Puerto Vallarta: the venue and the view. There is no rental hall to decorate, no neighbours to worry about, and the backdrop changes from the Malecón skyline to Los Arcos to open water over the course of the afternoon. Most celebration charters run 4 to 6 hours, which is enough for a coastline cruise, an anchored swim stop with music, and the sunset on the way back in.

We handle the moving parts: catering and bar packages, a DJ or live sax on deck, floral and balloon setup on the bow, photographers, and tender transfers if part of your group is staying in Nuevo Vallarta or Punta de Mita. Larger groups often pair a big yacht for the party with a second boat for overflow — common for wedding welcome parties.

For weddings, the practical route is a symbolic ceremony on board with the legal paperwork handled onshore. Yelapa and Majahuitas are the usual anchorages for ceremonies: sheltered, photogenic and quiet compared with the marina side of the bay.

Suggested itinerary

  1. Hour 1 — Setup and boarding

Crew sets up decor, bar and music before guests arrive. Welcome drinks on the dock, briefing, and departure.

  2. Hour 2 — Coastline cruise

Cruise past the Malecón, Conchas Chinas and Los Arcos with the sound system running and canapés circulating.

  3. Hours 3–4 — Anchored party stop

Anchor in a calm cove — Las Ánimas, Majahuitas or Yelapa — for swimming, water toys, cake, toasts and speeches.

  4. Hour 5 — Sunset and ceremony window

Reposition for the sunset. This is the slot most couples use for a symbolic ceremony or first dance on the aft deck.

  5. Hour 6 — Return

Night cruise back along the lit coastline and docking.

Ideal for

Best season

Year-round. November through April is peak season with the calmest water and the highest demand — book those dates well in advance. The summer months are warmer, greener and quieter, with occasional afternoon rain that usually passes quickly.

What to bring

Private Events & Celebrations — frequently asked questions

How many guests can we host?
It depends on the yacht's Coast Guard-certified capacity. Our larger yachts host sizeable groups; for very large parties we run two boats together. Ask the concierge for the right combination.
Can we get legally married on board?
Most couples do a symbolic ceremony on board and complete the legal paperwork onshore. We can point you to local coordinators who handle the civil side.
Can we bring our own catering and DJ?
Yes. Outside vendors are welcome; we just need names and load-in times in advance so the crew can plan dock access.
What happens if it rains?
Charters run in light rain. If the captain cancels for weather or unsafe sea conditions, we reschedule or refund.
